I went to The Thames Festival, And I Saw...
This year, family activities at the Mayor's Thames Festival will include "I Went to the Thames Festival And I Saw...". "And I Saw... " is a game of finding things and making a list of them. It's like a treasure hunt, it's like "I Spy", in fact it's quite like a few things you may have played to relieve boredom as a child.
The "And I Saw..." team have planted special coded stickers on buildings, landmarks, shops and stalls all along the South Bank, and it's up to players to find them and text each code they see to the central "And I Saw..." number. All players can also wear their own coded "And I Saw..." sticker so that other players can spot them. There is a prize for the team or individual who has spotted the most things, and another prize for the most-spotted team or player. At the end of the festival, players can log in to the "And I Saw..." website to view a record of all the things and people that they saw, and to find out if they made the Top Ten players list.
Player registration is free, and can be done online or at one of the "And I Saw..." registration booths located by Tower Bridge and by the London Eye. You can even register by texting in the first code you see.
For more information about the game, visit the site for the game.
